Our inspiration: a local mission

As a lifelong resident of Pineville, I wanted to find a way to help dogs get adopted out of overburdened shelters and rescues quicker. I have always loved dogs, and the idea was inspired by a dog I adopted named Merida. She is an excellent example for the dogs we foster and an integral part of their rehabilitation journey.

Giving every dog a brighter future

We hope to give the dogs a better chance at adoption by making them more appealing to adopters and more suitable for a variety of homes. By laying the groundwork, we help future adoptive families experience fewer potential problems down the road, ensuring a smooth transition for everyone.

From fear to friendship: our rehabilitation process

Sometimes dogs arrive anxious or fearful of humans. We offer them abundant love and positive reinforcement, showing them that humans can be kind. Many are also wary of other dogs. Our resident dog mentor, Merida, excels at reading their body language, giving them space until they're ready to approach. She teaches them appropriate play and gently corrects any boundary oversteps. Additionally, many shelter dogs are unaccustomed to home living, so we teach them how to thrive in a home setting.

Inspired to make a difference: join our cause

We want people to feel inspired to help these dogs in any way they can. Your support, whether through adopting, sharing adoptable dogs, volunteering at a local shelter, or donating to a local shelter or rescue means the world to the volunteers and the dogs!
